Scholarship Fund Challenge 2016
Welcome to a new year and new opportunities to participate in the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada! The UELAC scholarship committee invites all branches to join us as we introduce the 2016 Loyalist Scholarship Fund Challenge. Our goal is to raise $5,000.00 in 8 weeks. The launch date is January 31.

Individual donations and branch donations are welcome. With a national membership of 2,617 we can easily reach our goal if every member gives at least $2.00 or each branch donates $200.00. Let us be generous as we support academic excellence. Our progress throughout the campaign will be reported on a visual tracker on the UELAC website.

"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen." The UELAC Scholarship Committee thanks you for your support.

Loyalist Scholarship Fund Challenge 2016
January 31 - April 1, 2016
The Loyalist Scholarship Fund Raiser begins January 31.
Help us reach our goal of $5000.00.

Why fundraising and why now?
1. Providing Loyalist education/resource materials and encouraging research through scholarship funding is integral to our mission to preserve, promote and celebrate the history and traditions of the United Empire Loyalists.

2. The UELAC Loyalist Scholarship provides support to young people who are currently enrolled in a program of graduate study and have a heart for history. Increasing the scholarship fund will have a direct impact on education and research in the field of Loyalist studies.

3. As we support academic excellence we are building relationships with educational institutions and with committed students of Loyalist history as they begin their professional careers.

When?

Beginning January 31st, donations marked Loyalist Scholarship Fund will be added to a visual tracker on the UELAC website. At the close of the fund drive April 1, 2016 we will include a Donor Appreciation List.

For those on Facebook and social media, please use your voice to draw attention to this worthy project. Updates will appear in Loyalist Trails and Executive Notes. Please share this initiative through branch newsletters and publications.

How can I give?
Donations may be made by cheque or online.

1. Donations by cheque
Make donation cheques payable to the UELAC and indicate on the cheque - Loyalist Scholarship Fund. For donations of $10.00 or more a tax receipt will be issued by UELAC Head Office.

Toronto, ON Canada M5T 1L4

2. Online donations

Help make this project a success. Please promote the campaign actively; share the information with all your branch members: make announcements at meetings, include in your newsletters and e-news, promote in social media, make a donation. Remember, official campaign start date is January 31.
