Family History : Members of the WANAMAKER family (John, Henry, Peter and Richard Wanamaker's widow, Elizabeth) sailed in the Fall Fleet (Oct 1783) to NB aboard the ship Esther. Also onboard where Loyalists Benjamin and John APPLEBY who served with Henry WANAMAKER in VAN ALLEN's Coy, NJ Volunteers. Henry's wife was the widow of Loyalist Peter APPLEBY. Family Genealogy : His father Harmannus Wannemacher died 1800 in Prince Edward Island and is also probably a Loyalist. His granddaughter Margaret Susanna Wannamaker married Benjamin Henry Appleby, grandson of Loyalist Peter Appleby (and Leah Van Nessher). See Appleby military record
