Regiment : Shown as a member of James Shaw’s Company of the 1st Battalion of the New Jersey Volunteers in 1780. See Loyalists of the Southern Campaign, Volume III, p. 261. Also a petition states that he was a sergeant in De Lancey’s Corp.

Military Info : There are numerous records for him indicated in The British Military and Naval Records Index, which give about 15 entries for Andrew Whitesell, (also spelled Whitsal, Whitesall, Whitsell, Whitsel, Whitsol and Whitsell )

He served two 60 day periods at High Hills of Santee, South Carolina in 1781.
