Biography : Abraham Pastorius frequently served as a guide to Lt. Col Simcoe and accompanied him in the field. Simcoe's certificate dated 1785 identifies Abraham Pastorius as the man who admirably guided Simcoe's Queen's Rangers in the raid on Crooked Billet, May 1, 1778.

Abraham settled first in Montreal on the island's eastern shore at St. Mary's Current and was then granted 1000 acres of land in Rawdon Canton township 1789 with another 1000 acres granted in future.
