Biography : In Canning, near Paris, on Mayday, the 27th inst., after a protracted illness, which he bore with Christian fortitude, Mr. Benjamin Pickard, aged 101 years. The deceased was one of the veterans who saved the British Government in the American revolution; he resided may years in the Township of Niagara, in the Niagara District, and has been a worthy member of the Wesleyan Methodist body during the past 60 years.
