Family History : Was a son of James Forsyth (12 July 1711 - c. June 1760) & Mary Mason (31 May 1711 - 06 Apr 1789)
Barbor Collection, Mayflower Descendants, Middletown Vital Records. Left Middletown after father died intestate, found in Susquehanna Valley at Wilkes-Barr, later at Wyalusing. Among those who fled north into Genesee NY, then found outside Ft. Niagara in NY.
May have been a member of Butler's Rangers, but this has not been proven.
Land granted in Stamford, operated first Inn at Niagara Falls, gave another parcel of land to son-in-law Christopher Buchner who gave it to be used as Cemetery (now Drummond Hill)
