Branch Meetings & Events
Kingston Branch holds five meetings per year, in January, March, June, September, and November. Meetings are held on the third or fourth Saturday of the month at St. Paul's Anglican Church (corner of Queen & Montreal Streets in downtown Kingston, Ontario). Some parking is available in a small lot adjoining the church. The Springer Municipal Parking Lot is across Queen Street from the church.
Visitors are always welcome.
| Saturday, October 2, 2010 PLEASE NOTE: This is a change from our usual date in September, due to location availability. Come browse the Library beginning at 12:00 noon, followed by a soup-and-sandwich lunch at 12:30 pm. For those not asked to bring a food contribution, cost is $3.00 for lunch. The meeting will begin around 1:30 p.m., with speaker Jo-Anne Lachapelle-Beyak, Curator of the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum. Whether or not you are familiar with the Museum, located at 2993 Highway 2 East (Grass Creek Park), you'll want to hear about and see the tools our Loyalist ancestors would have used in their first settlements. |

At the 2009 fair, at least two students selected our own Branch member John Matheson as the subject of their project, for his role as Father of the Canadian Flag. The gold medal for Grade 4-5 students went to Pierre Gilroy for his project on John. The project shown below was submitted by another student, the young lady shown with John in the central photo on her display. | ||
